About Tony

Having worked for 30 years as a local authority social worker with children and families I took early retirement and eventually decided to pursue a childhood dream to become an artist. After enrolling on various day classes at the Hampstead Garden Suberb  adult education centre I was offered a full-time place on their Art Foundation Course and completed that before applying to study Fine Art at degree level.

My Work

After completing my Fine Art degree in 2012 I have continued to develop my painting through an exploration of colour light and movement drawing inspiration from a very broad spectrum of experience observation and ideas. I am influenced by a number of great artists including Rothko, Richter, Hockney and Bowling as well as an interest in urban living and travel.
