Jane studied Textile Design at Hammersmith in the early 70’s and had a successful career as a Freelance Textile Designer spanning over 30 years working for numerous fashion labels and Men's Shirtings, including M&S, John Lewis, Carrington Vyella and Jaeger. She spent many months working abroad in Paris Studios and her fine and detailed artwork was instantly recognised by the factories producing the coloured woven fabrics in the Far East. She also travelled around Europe including Italy, Austria, Germany and France showing her portfolio of Women's and Menswear Designs. And Jane also had clients from New York and South Africa travel over to London to see and purchase designs from her collection.
Jane continues to work as a Freelance Designer (and Gardener) and lives in her delightful cottage in Church Lane, East Finchley with LittleOne & JP (her cat and dog) and she has one of the prettiest gardens in the area.
Jane’s images have evolved from her textile designs and her numerous photographs taken on holidays spent across Europe. These pictures have been digitally transformed and the resulting imagery blurs the boundaries between photography and abstract art. This effect has been achieved after hours of experimentation using the countless techniques textures colours and filters on the computer. These photo images have been produced into a wonderful range of handprinted A4/A3 Framed/unframed prints and a beautiful selection of unique greeting cards - all handmade.
