Anthea Williams
Painting

About Anthea
I studied Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art UAL and went on to complete a MA at the Royal College of Art. Whilst at the RCA I was awarded the Henry Moore Scholarship and was invited by Keir Smith to exhibit with The London Group, and selected by Helen Chadwick for the Whitworth Young Contemporaries.
Combining art practice with gallery administration and education, I have worked at Camden Arts Centre, Chisenhale Gallery, and in adult education, universities and schools.

My Work
My work is based on drawing or painting from observation. Some of my paintings are created by using observational studies as a starting point, to be developed in colour, or combined in a larger painting.
